NEW BOOK LAUNCH- Nov. 23 We have been invited to attend the launch of a new book about our founder, John Carr and his influence on architecture within the UK and beyond. As the current torchbearers for John Carr's architectural practice, dating back to 1750, we ordered the book immediately & very much look forward to the launch at York Race Course.
NEW YORK ECO HOUSE PLANNED We are planning a new eco house in York which will incorporate a ground source heat pump, solar panels with battery storage and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.
SUSTAINABLE NEW HOMES Two new contemporary homes submitted to Planning in Dec 2022. These will be extremely energy efficient/low carbon homes benefiting from air source heat pump (ASHP), solar panels, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) & green roofs.
VICTORIAN VILLA CONVERSION Successful planning this week to convert this Victorian Gothic Villa to create six apartments together with a detached single storey dwelling.
BARN CONVERSIONS We have recently completed the restoration & refurbishment of Grade II Listed barns in Upper Poppleton, York.
300th BIRTHDAY OF YORK'S MOST FAMOUS ARCHITECT This month we celebrate the 300th birthday of York's most famous architect, John Carr of York (1723-1807). Our practice was founded in 1750 by architect John Carr, making it the longest running practice in the UK, and one of the oldest in the world.
